Snowboard like you mean it!!!!

Winter holidays are here, daaaaaaaamn! Levi is completely packed with people. Compared to last year there are alot more britts. We got a crazy amount of teachers and everyone is teaching big groups of people. I get kinda stressed when people keep running into eachother and random tourists wanna beat you up when you "cut in line" with your student even if you got priority. You'd be surprised how much time some people spend complaining on their holiday.
Do people forget that when you're on holiday you shouldn't be in a hurry.
My board broke and they don't have do Buck Up in stock anymore so new board again I guess.
However I was thinking of writing a review on the Buck Up, just for the fun of it.
After a seriously nasty workweek we leave for Björkliden with Kaarle, to search for some fine lines.

Snowboarding until we get to snowboard some more!

It's been a slow start this season. Mainly because there isn't really enough snow to go offpiste that much and the park will get finished at the end of the incoming week.
As I wrote before, I sold my Ride MAchete and my Lib-Tech T.Rice board which left me with nothing for the groomers. So I've been riding the rental boards for the past weeks and I can't seem to find a board in the Nitro selection that I like. The Team 1.0 or whatever it's called was ok, basic camber which is nice on groomers.

I was working on the slalom world cup when they had the first race at Levi which was a cool experience. There's a hellalot of work that goes in to the competition that takes less than 6 hours across 2 days, completely insane. And you would think you'd get to follow the comp closer that anyone which is true, but between the stuff you have to do you actually just see the competitors pass by really fast and you have no idea of who's leading or anything. Still had a fun week.

Work start tomorrow, it's weird cos I feel abit nervous even tho I'm well prepared and I know how everything works. I'll be working long hours almost all week so I guess I'll be back to the old routine in a few days. Or not, lately there has been no routine what so ever.

The "park" in Kaarle's backyard is more epic than ever. This fall we built this platform from where we get speed for the rails. I't about 2m high, 2x2m wide, kinda overkill. And awesome.
We got the rails set up, the jumps and the takeoff shaped and "watered". Now we just gotta see when we both got time to film, and more than anything, try to get some skills!

Last thursday I got my new board, bindings and boots. I wanna ride the setup a few days before I reveal what I'll be riding this season. I'll prolly write a small review since it's kinda fun, and it might be helpful for some people considering the same gear.

Talking about new gear. I also sold the GoPro HD Hero2 and bought the HERO3+ Black Edition.

Today the world lost Paul Walker from the Fast&Furious movies. In a car crash when he wasn't even driving himself.  Damn shame. I liked him as an actor and the movies will never be as good if they continue the Fast&Furious series with someone else in the lead role. R.I.P. Paul.

Wörk!

I'm back! I spent almost 3½ weeks out in the archipelago working and taking it easy.
Now I've been back for almost two weeks and I gotta say I've really used my time well because at the moment it looks like I got work at two different restaurants. I will prolly go mental working that much but at least I should be able to get some money saved, I need a GoPro camera for the winter and then I need to start saving money for a trip next spring, I just have to go surfing somewhere.
Last thursday we went out drinking with Kaarle (the guy we met at Riksgränsen) and had a great time. We started at my place and around the time we were about to leave Kaarle tells me that he can't go to any bar because he's too drunk, laff! The problem was solved by telling him that he wasn't that drunk. On the way to the bar we stopped a million times and just talked to random people on the street, by the time we got to the bar the clock was past 2am. We killed it on the dancefloor almost the whole time we were in there (I think we went to Tivoli) and then went for a snack with some people to McDonald's. For some reason Kaarle desided to bail and I continued to some afterparty with a group the a taught were all classmates, when in fact, only two of 8 (I think) people knew eachother.
The next day when I finally felt like I was in shape to drive, I picked up Lalli and we headed to the summerhouse for some fishing and drinking.
And that was my weekend, fishing, drinking and sauna. The weather was awesome almost the whole time and during the day you didn't even need wear a shirt since it was actually that warm, during the night again it got really cold, I guess summer is ending after all. For some reason I don't have any pictures of myself. All in all it was a good trip, we got enough fish to keep us interested in fishing every day, then again it's hard not to like just chilling in the boat the whole day when the weather is nice.

So this week has been more or less about work and climbing. Noone wants to hear about booring work stuff but climbing/bouldering is awesome. Before I went to the summerhouse my hands had gotten used to climbing but now after almost a month long break it was a whole other story. My hands are killing me atm. This picture was taken on tuesday: 

That might not look so bad but after climbing today, it looked like someone had tortured my hands real bad. But it was all worth it, cleared a cupple of new lines which felt really good.
 I've been meaning to take bouldering pictures but somehow I never get it done. Maybe Panu could bring his camera some day when he comes climbing.
Seems like I have to wake up in 6 hours, someone said that you need to sleep every now and then.
I have no idea how I ended up reading quotes of Albert Einstein but I feel like I should share theese with you, that guy was a genious in so many ways.
