Getting colder! Skiing holidays are closing in...
It's almost a month since my last post. Time is just passing by so damn fast it's ridiculous.
This week has been the first week of a healthier diet and lifestyle and I feel really good about it already. I've met awesome people at work and gotten some really nice feedback. All in all a good week.
So what's new. The weather has been quite nice until this week/the past few day, the sky has been clear which is nice and the days are getting longer. It's awesome when the sun is out but it also usually means that it's pretty darn cold. For example today at work it was -29C/-20.2F which kinda takes the fun out of working outdoors.
This is a cool picture of some weird phenomenon, took this pic today and it's not edited in any way. It was warmer at the top of the front slope so I guess that is one of the reasons you can see the sunrays.
Last weekend I went to Helsinki to move all of my stuff out of my appartment which kinda sucked, on the upside I got no rent to pay. So I guess I'm more or less homeless at this point. The most annoying thing about going to Helsinki was that it started snowing the night before I left, and snowed for almost a whole week. For once the temp stayed above and around -10C/14F which ment the snow stayed light and soft. When I got back the best pow days were over but still got some sweet runs during the week.
The weekend before I went to Helsinki me and 9 others from the ski-school went to Aakenus near Ylläs to look for some powder, we ended up hiking alot and getting two poor runs, or actually poor doesn't really begin to explain the first one. But the food was good and the surroundings beautiful.
I was about to start editing at one point but Kaarle felt like it's better to film abit more, so that we have. My computer sucks big time but I managed to capture some frames from the new footy, suddenly everything froze so I desided to just leave it for now. So until I get the new edit done, here is a little something.
Kaarle totally killed ito n the rails but I'm going to leave that as a surprise.

Sumthn sumthn!
Hey wazzup!
What's new? I'm actually a licensed snoawboard instructor now, hooray for me. The course was alot of fun even tho the grading was rly weird. Or not weird exactly, just favoured good looking cute women. Hah! Still, great fun with an awesome group. Awesome to see people pushing their limits in the park even tho they have no experience from park riding what so ever.
What else.... I had this awesome student, a 4 year old who was telling me about the secrets within the forests in lapland. This was new to me but she told me that it's full of santa's helpers and deeper into the forest you might find evil witches, that was one of the reasons she was careful not to go there. Some of the kids are awesome, really makes your day.
Just a cool picture from the Disco Ensemble concert....
The weather has truly been beautiful the past days. Too bad it's getting colder now, not really that much fun to be working outdoors when it's below -20.
I got a short clip coming up during the upcoming days and I hope to get something new filmed very soon.

First clip, late as usual
I actually got this first clip done in good time but had som problems with the rendering so even if the editing was finished I wan't able to make it into one clip. I got the promblem fixed yesterday and added some subtitles today. I had some extra time on my hands since I've enjoyed a mad diarrhea and womiting sickness the past days, basically had to stay close to the toilet the whole time. Great fun!
Other than that I'd say that there isn't that much to tell. I've been working alot and if I have the time to go shred the park it's just for an hour or so. Some day I'm so tired from work I don't even feel like going riding anymore.
So here it is, first Vide-Oh! episode ever:
The christmas season is coming to an end in a week or so which would give me more time to film, just sucks that me and Kaarle can't seem to find a day for riding that would suit us both. Until next time...

Back at the winter wonderland!
It's been far too long so I'm not even going to try remembering what I've been up to since the last post. OK, maybe a few words, cave, BF, work abroad, school stuff etc etc. So now you know everything.
At the moment I'm back at Levi, I actually arrived on 29th of november but haven't really had time to do that much. On the day of my arrival Kaarle picked me up at the airport and we went shredding for a while, it was kinda cold and icy and we mainly just ended up hitting natural features since the park was under construction.
We gave up at some point and desided to go to Kaarle's place to set up the rail on the backyard, A huge part of the time we spent just shaping and building.

The result is awesome ofc, there is even the small qp for hitting the "rail" twice on one run.
We mostly tried it out and made some changes to make it as awesome as it is, this ment no filming or anything like that. This was the only day so far that I got to go snowboarding.
Most of the time I've been spending on skis trying to become a better skier and a great instructor. Only got 2 more days left before I start working. We've been doing far too much fun stuff to mention everything, but let's say the last 7 days have been TONS of fun.
The park is finished which means monday will be the day for some mad shredding, just need to make the most awesome playlist on my phone and charge the GoPro.
Until then...

We're getting closer
I'm beginning to get quite hyped for the incoming season, more than usual actually.
Leaving for Levi once again in december for the ski-instructor course but I don't really know yet if I'll get to work there.
I actually started my season some weeks ago at Skipoli's season opening party where they had lots of drinks and food. And outside they had 2 rails and later on we removed the raild and built a jump. I gotta say that I haven't been at a party that fun in a long time. Which might explain why I for some realy left everything at the location, and to make the experience even better, I got everything back.
At first it felt scary as hell to hit the rails and the jump but I guess it's like riding a bicykle, you never really forget. I took some minor falls, but the pain the next day felt like everyone at the party had kicked me ten times. Still totally worth it.
